The Review Button: Splitting Seconds

Colby Yates pushed the button in Round Four when he and Valdiron had buckoff times that were only .15 seconds apart.  There were a few guys who, when they saw that, I bet they wish they had done it, too. And in the final two, Yates hung on for a mere .2 seconds longer than Meier.  Not to take anything away from Colby Yates, but looking back at it in slow motion, I think it was closer than that, and I think it might have gone either way.  But the complicated way that I'm a Gangster bucks, I'm not sure it was reviewable. I wonder if Meier didn't push the button because he doesn't believe in doing it or because he was too wrung out to care. Next year they should do an automatic review of the final two rides.

The close calls:

Round One:
Roy over Lima - .5 seconds

Round Two:
Meier over Robinson - .5 seconds
Lee over Roy - .4 seconds
Yates over Alves - .5 seconds

Round Three:
McConnell over Meier - .5 seconds (Meier advanced anyway because of McConnel's injury)
Lee over Hupp - .1 second
de Oliveira over Marchi - .02 seconds,

Round Four:
Yates over de Oliveira - .2 seconds (Initially de Oliveira: 3.38 over Yates 3.23)

Round Five:
Yates over Meier - .2 seconds
