Here are my questions and predictions going into Greenville. The results are in red.
1. Will the "Final Five Chase" actually make a difference? I used to think no, now I think yes. I think I was right about the yes.
2. Out of the ten bonus round bulls, how many rider scores will we see? I'm saying 5. Four were ridden.
3. Will Guilherme Marchi - who said he was out until the Finals, but now is competing in Greenville - be able to do it with an injured wrist? I think this event might do him in for the year, unfortunately. He competed, but not well, and he is not on the roster for Springfield.
4. Will Travis Briscoe return to compete in Greenville? He's on the roster, and I hope to see him ride, but he's got a slew of injuries and I wonder if he'll make it through the event. He's got a lot of reputation riding on finishing it. I know, that's not an answer. He rode, bucked off, looked pretty good.
5. Will Shane Proctor catch a break and actually get into the top ten, by points or by someone else's injury, so he can compete in the bonus rounds? He was in the running until Marchi decided to compete this weekend, but I think the answer to the question is, "Not this week, but maybe next." I was right.
6. Who will be the last bull picked in the short go? It should be Bones, based on his last performance, but I'll go out on a limb and say Major Payne. It was Major Payne.
Those are my predictions and I am fully prepared to be totally wrong on any or all of them. To see the list of this weekend's short go bulls, read Short Go Bulls: Greenville.
