And Skeeter Makes Three: Another Anatomy Lesson

Skeeter Kingsolver injured his PCL at a Touring Pro event in Bismark, ND. The PCL, or posterior cruciate ligament, keeps the tibia (shin bone) from sliding too far backward. (Its partner, the better known and more frequently injured ACL, keeps the tibia from moving too far forward.) Also called the "dashboard injury," the PCL is injured when the shin is forced back while the knee is bent and the toes are pointed downward. Like the ACL, the PCL is one of the primary stabilizers of the knee joint.

Kingsolver is 11th in PBR world standings and makes the third top-twenty rider injured in a Touring Pro or rodeo event in the past month.
